Colin McGeady has been involved in the
music business for some 30 years now. His main instrument is guitar, but
over the years he has learned to play other instruments such as piano/keyboards,
bass and drums. Colin played in a few bands in his younger days and re-invented
his musical career by returning to college and attaining a Degree in Music
for Film and Television.
Although Colin has been writing songs since his
early twenties, he founded CMM Music in 1995 in order to give him more
artistic freedom over his 'Novenas' album (see sound
clips), and started to build a hi-tech recording
studio in collaboration with his long term friend, Fergie
McAllister of BarnWest. Colin designed his own logo along with good
friend Gill Naismith, who also contributed to naming some tracks on his
'Novenas' album by translating them into Latin.
Founding T-Junction in 2000 with his wife Maggie,
Colin is just as comfortable on stage as he is in the studio, playing
guitar for both T-Junction and ABBA
Fever, producing and sequencing all tracks for the live shows with
meticulous attention to musical detail (see sound clips on band pages).
Aside from his music, Colin's other great passion
is for his family, especially his son Lewis (he's the cute one in the
Gallery) for whom the eponymous track is named, and his wife Maggie who
is a constant source of inspiration and has greatly enriched his life.
Colin thanks God for all his gifts and dedicates his musical works to
to Him. |
